The birthday celebrations

So, I initially thought, lets just have a small family birthday party this year.  But then I felt bad, because Hazel wanted to celebrate with her best friend Ella, so I threw them their own special tea party on her actual birthday; (We led Hazel to believe that her actual birthday was conveniently on the Saturday after her birthday).

The tea party was just about the cutest event ever.  I held it on our front porch, and told the princesses to just knock on the door if they needed a top-up on their tea (juice). :)

Then, grandma and grandpa Foster drove all the way up to our house to take Hazel out to eat at her new favorite restaurant (Costa Vida), followed by gelato, and a special card including a 5-dollar bill!  She thought that was the neatest thing ever!  Thanks again for making her feel so special!

Now for the big day.  This sweet girl was spoiled rotten, but I think she completely deserved it!  She has been such a kind and patient princess ever since her brother was born, always putting his needs first, and so we just wanted to shower her with all her favorite things. (Plus, her little broken princess castle and toddler tricycle just weren't quite cutting it anymore).  She just kept saying, "Thank you so much!  This is the best day ever!"

Afterwards, her two cute cousins, and grandma and grandpa Lafferty, joined us for some fun at Boondocks.  We mini golfed, bowled and played games.  It was a sweaty blast.

After that, we headed home for some Lucky Slice Pizza and cake & ice-cream!
(fyi, I did not make the cake.  Whole Foods did..  But I did decorate it with those awesome edible butterflies. Go me.)

What fun!

Happy birthday beautiful princess!  We love you oh so much!

But I don't think I'll ever let you turn 6..
