Farewell for now...

Dear Marianne & Rachelle,

Thank you so-oo much for breaking away from your busy lives, and making the long and expensive trek out to England.  It was truly the best 2 weeks ever, and I'm sad that it's all over...

Love you lots!

p.s. And Hazel's still having a really hard time with her best friend gone (a.k.a. Rachelle).  She slumps her shoulders and tells me about how sad she is about it each day.  Sorry she doesn't feel the same way about you Marianne. ;)  I'm sure she still misses you though.

p.p.s. And thanks to my mom, and to Greg and Adam, for holding the fort down for these gals and allowing them to visit.  You guys are seriously the best!! xo

What's happening (Canterbury Cathedral)

I am one lucky and happy girl right now because two of my beautiful sisters have traveled across the pond for a two week visit.  We've been busy exploring and touring around, and it's been the best.

Our first outing was to see the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral.  We got there in the evening, and so it was all lit up and glorious.

Lots more coming, so stay tuned.

Visitors

I am about as happy as a person can possibly be since these three pretty girls showed up at the Heathrow airport on Sunday.

My sister Alaine, and her two beautiful daughters, Aspen and Ayla, are here to make my month magical.

Hazel is absolutely on cloud nine having these girls around.

The weather has been extra cold and rainy, but we enjoyed a little jubilee celebration at the Abby Gardens.  Pictures are few because I am just too busy having fun.

So much more to come.

Snow and birthdays.

My niece and I had the urge to build our first snowman of the season.  After our masterpiece we challenged each other to a snowball fight.  I think I won.

After which we scrambled to make homemade decorations for my beautiful sister's birthday dinner.  She loves mushrooms, and so that's the theme we went with.

Oh how I love a good feast.  I thought the grapefruit, radish, and cabbage salad from The Whole Life Nutrition Kitchen was a fun, and yummy twist on a salad.

My saturday

I was so happy to meet up with the Foster girls yesterday.  We shopped, had a baby shower at the Brick Oven for Jen (love that pasta bar), and finished the outing by getting liquid nitrogen icecream from Sub Zero.

Love these girls!

A great week!!

I've been so lucky with visitors lately. This last week my sister and her two beautiful girls came for a Texas adventure!

We made sure to hit the main tourist attractions, and caught a glimpse of ourselves at the mirror maze.

We went to the Japanese Tea Garden.

Hazel couldn't get enough of her visitors.

We fed the ducks.

Enjoyed the nice weather.

Had popcorn and movie nights.

Played lots of games.

Enjoyed some good Mexican food at Henry's Puffy Taco.

Went to the zoo.

We all got some fancy fiesta shirts and went to a surprise destination. You can't ever be too old for Chuck E Cheese's. Am I right?!

Then we of course had to visit Sea World.

Other than Hazel and I getting rottenly sick, it was the best week ever.

And thanks to my amazing mom, for spending so much time with us. Wish you didn't ever have to go...

Love you all so so much!!!
