July

July was a really good month!

For starters we celebrated Johnny and America's birthday down in Glenwood with the fam, and it was so much fun.

Then on the 14th, Johnny and I celebrated our 10th anniversary!  Time sure flies when you're having fun.  I love this man so much it hurts.  And just look at these young kittens.

We also had a fantastic garage sale, featuring some precious girls selling some lemonade and more!

And on the 20th, our sweet Hazel girl started her first day of (year-round) Chinese-Immersion kindergarten!!  She is thrilled that her best friend Ella is in her class, and that her English teacher is our wonderful neighbor.  She's also already counting and saying other words and phrases in Chinese; it's pretty remarkable!  (But her favorite parts are lunch, recess, and riding the bus home with Ella). ;)

I love this wonderful full-of-life girl.  She makes my heart burst.

And a little shout-out to our handsome boy.  Milo is too cute for words, but turning 15 months old sure has brought out his feistier side.  He has mastered the loud scream.  Mastered.  He has also mastered showing off his big muscles and pearly whites. :)  I love him.

For the 24th, Johnny and Hazel were able to be with cousins, watch the parade, eat snow-cones, have a slip-n-slide, fireworks and more.  It was such a magical day for Hazel.

This month has also been the best at reconnecting with some of our favorite people.  First off, two of our beautiful British friends were here briefly.  Oh how I love them, and that I was able to hear my favorite accent again.

Next up, my BF's from Utah State.  I couldn't stop grinning during this whole event, because I loved this reunion so much.

Now for my childhood BFs.  I don't see these pretty faces nearly enough (and we only live an hour-ish away now)...but I sure do love these girls, and their babies.

A favorite moment for me was returning to Logan for the first time in 7-ish years to watch my voice major friend star in Utah Festival Opera's productions of La Boheme.  Man, she was amazing, and oh how I love Logan and these girls.

Last but not least, Johnny was even able to connect with all of his studly Duchesne BFs.  So fun to see this bunch together!

July was a very good month.

Cheers to a new month!

Dear Gardners,

Thanks for being such great friends to us, and for traveling the world with us!  So glad we got one final  trip together before our big move back to the states.  Hazel's going to be reeaally sad once she realizes her best friends aren't moving with her...

Try to get stationed near us again, mkay, or else I might cry.

love,

your coolest friends

xoxo

Cute girls

I was pretty lucky to have these three little princesses in my house all last week.  I was also pleased that the weather was so nice, because we were able to spend most of our days outside.

Hazel was especially happy to have her best friends here, and so she was pretty sad when the week had to come to an end.

Matt and Jeane, I guess you better schedule some more trips, because I think we need another week like this one. :)

Fun in the sun

When the sun comes out in England and brings warm temperatures, you must go outside and enjoy it.

I was lucky to babysit these two cute girls this week, and so spending time outside is just what we did, because it was extra toasty.  It also completely warmed my heart to see such happy faces from such a simple activity.

(Cooling off with some frozen watermelon).

And now for some footage of these little cuties in action...

Our extended weekend

With the 4th of July and Johnny's birthday both taking place in the same weekend (and Johnny luckily wasn't away this year for work), we knew a lot of celebrating needed to take place.  Thanks to our wonderful friends, the Gardners, for joining in and making our days that much more awesome.

To kick things off I sent the boys to go Go Karting for some birthday fun; (they looked cute in the hair nets).  Other highlights were of course watching Hazel play with her best friends, eating at yummy restaurants, having a BBQ with more friends, Tim-Tam Slams, Hazel's first movie theater experience, slumber parties, sticky-toffee pudding, and just enjoying our weekend together with good friends.  So much fun!

Now for a few pics through the eyes of our phones...

(And happy birthday to my handsome husband.  I swear he gets more awesome each year.  I'm so lucky!)
