Johnny and I have been anticipating September 8th for a couple months now. When I found out that Alfie Boe and Il Divo were both performance in Hyde Park, I knew we had to get tickets.
It was our longest outing yet away from Hazel, and although we missed her like crazy, it was a much needed get-a-way.
We came across a Whole Foods in London, which meant that I completely turned into a kid in a candy store. We enjoyed the yummiest lunch, and childless browsing. Love that place.
We then ate the most delicious frozen yogurt, that was possibly even better than my state side favorite, Red Mango.
The outside concert venue was incredible. And a whopping 40 thousand fans and the most patriotic Brits were there.
Now this was a 5 hour concert with an array of artists. Although I was just looking forward to the above mentioned names (which were amazing), I was floored with the other performing guests. Incredible Beatles and Abba cover bands, jazz bands, mariachi bands, and more.
I didn't however expect a huge highlight of the night to be Kylie Minogue. She seriously rocked.
What an incredibly awesome night that I'll never forget!
