Abbey Gardens, and Stratford-upon-Avon

A favorite place to take visitors is to the beautiful Abbey Gardens.  Although it's not as flourished as it is in warmer months, it's still so beautiful.  Hazel loved educating herself of her surroundings, and playing in the fall leaves.

Prior to this, we enjoyed a nice lunch at Harriet's Tearoom (I guess we were all too hungry to snap any pictures though...)

Another outing, that I unfortunately missed out on, was a visit to Statford-upon-Avon.  This town is a popular tourist destination being the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

While there, they also visited the adorable cottage of Anne Hathaway (not the popular actress, but the popular wife of Will Shakespeare).

Now off to Mary Arden's farm (Shakespeare's mother, and home where she grew up).  I'm mostly intrigued by the sheep looking pigs!  Have you ever seen such animals?

The village had quite a lot of charm (and a few Halloween props, that added to the fun).

The last pics consist of Shakespeare's home, and burial site.

Pretty neat outing.  Too bad you and I missed it...
