July

July was a really good month!

For starters we celebrated Johnny and America's birthday down in Glenwood with the fam, and it was so much fun.

Then on the 14th, Johnny and I celebrated our 10th anniversary!  Time sure flies when you're having fun.  I love this man so much it hurts.  And just look at these young kittens.

We also had a fantastic garage sale, featuring some precious girls selling some lemonade and more!

And on the 20th, our sweet Hazel girl started her first day of (year-round) Chinese-Immersion kindergarten!!  She is thrilled that her best friend Ella is in her class, and that her English teacher is our wonderful neighbor.  She's also already counting and saying other words and phrases in Chinese; it's pretty remarkable!  (But her favorite parts are lunch, recess, and riding the bus home with Ella). ;)

I love this wonderful full-of-life girl.  She makes my heart burst.

And a little shout-out to our handsome boy.  Milo is too cute for words, but turning 15 months old sure has brought out his feistier side.  He has mastered the loud scream.  Mastered.  He has also mastered showing off his big muscles and pearly whites. :)  I love him.

For the 24th, Johnny and Hazel were able to be with cousins, watch the parade, eat snow-cones, have a slip-n-slide, fireworks and more.  It was such a magical day for Hazel.

This month has also been the best at reconnecting with some of our favorite people.  First off, two of our beautiful British friends were here briefly.  Oh how I love them, and that I was able to hear my favorite accent again.

Next up, my BF's from Utah State.  I couldn't stop grinning during this whole event, because I loved this reunion so much.

Now for my childhood BFs.  I don't see these pretty faces nearly enough (and we only live an hour-ish away now)...but I sure do love these girls, and their babies.

A favorite moment for me was returning to Logan for the first time in 7-ish years to watch my voice major friend star in Utah Festival Opera's productions of La Boheme.  Man, she was amazing, and oh how I love Logan and these girls.

Last but not least, Johnny was even able to connect with all of his studly Duchesne BFs.  So fun to see this bunch together!

July was a very good month.

Cheers to a new month!

Happy birthday America

We had a simple, non-traditional, yet enjoyable 4th of July celebration.

Events included eating pizza...

Chasing birds at the Arc...

Trying new ways to ride a bike...

And enjoying some beautiful weather in the back garden with the ones I love most.

Hope you folks in America had a fantastic celebration.

Happy Birthday America

Johnny's brother is in town visiting the in-laws, and so we joined in on their day of fun. We weren't prepared with swimming suits, and so Hazel just wore a swim diaper and got to enjoy her first swim. She truly was hyperventilating with excitement.
