I never thought I'd have the chance to visit Budapest, and so what a fantastic opportunity it was! We were famished when we arrived, and so we enjoyed a really yummy lunch at a nice Hungarian restaurant. We were a little bit sad that our stomachs were so full though once arriving at the Christmas market, because there were wonderful food options there that we weren't quite expecting. We still of course managed to squeeze in a few scrumptious goodies; a favorite being these unique cinnamon/sugar coated tubes of tasty dough. They were really something, and definitely a highlight of our journey. We also felt quite rich carrying around 1000 dollar bills, or should I say Hungarian forints.
As always, I loved the street performers, and Hazel loved the endless hot chocolate daddy kept buying, and watching the magical fire guy.
Budapest was surprisingly a favorite destination of our whole journey.
Next stop, Slovakia!
