My all time favorite book growing up was the BFG. I'm also a huge fan of James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, Willy Wonka, and The Witches. Never in a million years did I think that I'd visit the author's little village, and see what inspired such a creative man.
We thoroughly enjoyed touring through the Roald Dahl Museum and seeing the insides of his writing hut. Highlights for me were being 2 inches away from Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka jacket, and seeing a portion of the Fantastic Mr. Fox set. Neat!
It was also super awesome seeing the BFG's footprints leading up to Roald Dahl's grave.
Thank you Roald Dahl for making my life more magical.
