Our weekend

Saturday we enjoyed attending a church activity to celebrate Pioneer day.  Hazel wasn't so sure about participating in the potato sack race, but she did enjoy making her very own homemade butter.

Johnny surprisingly won the candy guessing game, which now means that we have a large amount of candy here to tempt me, and I don't completely like that.

Then later that night we enjoyed a night out in Cambridge for a coworker's farewell.  We ate at the delicious Teri-Yaki, while being entertained by some karaoke classics.

Sunday, Hazel looked oh so sweet and innocent while wearing a new pretty hair style.  (In England, this hair-do would be called a "french plait.")

Then after church we enjoyed some sunshine, while Hazel loved looking through a peek hole to spy on the neighbor's dog, and getting airplane rides from daddy.

Other news:

- Hazel now says, "I love you mommy," and it completely melts me into mush.

- And can you believe we've lived in England for 1 whole year already?!

Date night

We decided it'd be fun to have a double date night for Nate's final night here in England.  I never thought that I'd be able to double date with my sis in England, so what a treat it was.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Olde Bull Inn. And we just couldn't resist getting dessert, because their sticky toffee pudding is absolutely to die for.

The Wests join the Fosters

Last night Jonny and Charlotte joined Johnny and me for a feast at the Olde Bull Inn.  This was my second venture there, but Johnny's first.  The food was good, but too pricey for me.  The sticky toffee pudding was heavenly, too bad my piggy-ness didn't allow time for a picture.

Last night with daddy

And my day and two nights with Johnny is unfortunately over.  Hazel and I loved every second we had with him.  Hazel loved all the tickles, and I loved one more date by going to Pizzeria Seven Twelve.  Very yummy!

Now hurry up training, I want my husband back for good.

A day and two nights - first night

I've been away from my love for a month, and boy has it been hard.  The happy part is that Johnny got to come home from his training for a day and two nights; the sad part is that he came home for his grandma's funeral.

Our first night we decided to celebrate with Thai Food by going to our favorite Thai restaurant Jasmine. Yum!

I love this boy, and was so glad to get to spend a brief amount of time together, even if it was for a sad occasion.

 Many more pics to come.

Double date night

We enjoyed a night out last night with Charlotte and Jonny, and ate at the Zen Noodle Bar in Bury St. Edmunds.  Service was terrible, food was pretty good, but company was fantastic.  Overall, great date night!

Date Night

Johnny and I were able to find a babysitter so that we could go on our first date since being in England.  We went to the Chequers bistro and indian brasserie in Fordham.  It is also a jazz lounge, and so I couldn't wait to go.  Good news, the curry was the best that I've had yet since being here.  Bad news, they only have jazz on Sundays...boo.
