This next part of our journey was probably the most magical for me, and my family. My maiden name is Lafferty which originates from Ireland. Before our name became Lafferty, we were known as the O'Flahertys. The O'Flaherty's were castle builders, and the Aughnanure Castle, built in the 16th century, is one of those castles built by 'my people'. :)
I never thought I'd get the chance to see one of the castles built by my very own ancestors, and so this truly was a moment I'll never forget!
And boy has it been nice having a chiropractor around during those moments of discomfort (such as when Johnny twisted his ankle from saving Hazel from a big fall). Thanks dad!
