Rouen, France (final destination)

Before putting an end to our fun filled week, we stopped in a little French village called Rouen.  Oh how I wish we had more time to spend there, because it was one of the cutest villages I've ever seen.  So picturesque.  So French.

Also, Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in the Old Market Square here, which is exactly the spot in the first picture below, (and sadly due to a toddler wee attack, I didn't take photos of the Joan of Arc Church, or her statue...)

Lastly, Hazel and I especially loved the old merry-go-round.  So very cute.

And sadly that's a wrap of our European adventures.  But hopefully not forever.

Versailles!

I was elated when Johnny found a way to get me to Versailles.  One word, wow!  This place was absolutely incredible, and a little ridiculous.  (The French Revolution makes more sense to me now after visiting this place).

It was also shockingly hot in Paris that day, so we were really sweatin'.  (Which reminds me that Utah heat will definitely shock our systems here soon).

And anyone planning to make a trip to Versailles, rent a golf cart!  That's right.  I sadly discovered that option once it was too late, but I think it would've been a blast zipping through the massive gardens by golf cart.

What a good day, even though I would've loved one last visit into the heart of Paris.  I did at least blow a goodbye kiss to the Eiffel Tower from a distance...

Au revoir Paris!

(One final pit stop coming up...)

Final Destination; Lille, France

Before hopping on the Eurostar (the train that we drive our car onto that takes us back to England), we stopped at Lille, France.  This is our second time making a pit-stop here because of its cute little Christmas market.  It was a brief outing, but a nice one.

(And it made me even more excited to go to more Christmas markets next week!)

And that's a wrap!
