a little of this, a little of that...

Lately, life has been simple, a little uneventful, full of some sickness, slow-paced, but good.  Highlights were having the missionaries over for a tim-tam-slam, going to the recording studio again, and our first snowfall.

And now....here's a clip of Hardcore Hazel.  Enjoy!

Lately

Life is zipping by, but it's been nice.  We have now spent a handful of Christmases away from family, and although it's hard, we try our best to enjoy our own little family fun.

Hazel is obsessed with Santa, and was so excited to see him for a second time this season at Johnny's work party.  When the moment finally arrived to greet the jolly ol' man, she was awfully afraid.  She just held onto daddy, grabbed her present, and escaped.

Other events include:
Another work dinner party, Missionary visits, Thai food with friends, more recording studio magic, farmer's market shopping, and a holiday party with friends (where I made a cool cheese Christmas tree).

We're looking forward to Christmas Eve excitement with our American friends, and the arrival of Father Christmas.

Happy Christmas everyone!
(Did you know that in England they say "Happy" not "Merry"?

A rockstar?

One of my wonderful voice students has a very talented screenwriter/songwriter dad who asked me to be the voice (and keyboard) of many of his songs.  I thoroughly enjoyed going into the studio last week to record a few of the songs, and am anxious for the many more visits to come.  I'm not exactly sure what will come out of this, but it's loads of fun, and that's all I care about.  It's also making this classical/jazz singer dig into her inner rock-star, and I like that.
