Christmas Recap

It was so much fun being home for the holidays, since It has been 4 years since we've been with our family!  Hazel has never spent Christmas with family either, which made it an extra special time for her.

This year we spent it at my parents' house, with the majority of my family members, and Hazel just loved being with her best friend/cousin Violet, decorating (and eating) cookies for Santa, and being a shining star in our production of the Nativity.

Milo loved getting attention from everyone (he surprisingly cozied right up to uncle Adam, not moving a muscle for minutes, which was probably the cutest thing I've ever witnessed).

We also had a delicious Christmas eve feast while listening to classic Christmas records.  And we of course ate plenty of scrumptious goodies as well, including my mom's famous cheese log, my homemade eggnog, and hot cider from England.

The morning was magical.  Hazel was also extra pleased to find out that she was on the nice list after discovering her Frozen Christmas she was dreaming of!

Milo joined the party a little later, and thought it was pretty awesome opening up his presents.

Favorite time of year, with my favorite people.  Hope you all had a very merry Christmas too!!

Christkindlmarkt in Utah?

We are so beyond happy that we are able to spend Christmas with our family this year (it's been 5 years since we have!), but we'd be lying if we didn't say we're a little sad that we won't be going to any German or other European Christmas markets this year..

We were thrilled though when my father-in-law informed us that Salt Lake City was having their very own Christkindlmarkt!!  So after we got done visiting the North Pole (see post below), we scurried on over to our very own Utah rendition of a German christmas market!

Although it wasn't the real deal, it still had yummy food, great ambiance, and was a ton of fun!

(Lets make this a tradition Papa Fos, what do ya say?)

Lately

Utah has been treating us really well so far.  For starters, Johnny bought me a new car!  I'm so beyond thrilled and spoiled.  It's a Kia Sorento, and it rocks.  Now I just need to relearn how to drive on the right side of the road...

We also loved spending time at the new Foster home last week.  Hazel loved going down the big slide, (built inside the house!), and playing with her cousins.  We also loved playing games and having a British tea party (featuring chocolate scones carefully transported in our suitcases fresh from England).

Another highlight was going to my favorite restaurant in Provo; the Bombay House.  It has been a long three years of being separated from this divine place, and so I could not wait to snarf down some perfectly made curry while mingling with some of my favorite people.

It has been a real treat being at my parents' house for the past little while now; soaking in some sunshine, eating good food (such as freshly caught salmon, and juicy peaches from papa's tree), and hanging out with more favorites.

Oh yeah, and we got us a house!!  Whoop whoop.  Details and pics to follow.
