About us

So our little Foster family came about in Logan, Utah, on a very cold November day. My roommates insisted that I go with them to Chilis where they were going to meet up with some "guy-friends". I was anti-boyfriends at the time, so I didn't care if I remained in my make-up-less face, sweatshirt, snow boots, and greasy hair all stuffed in a beanie. Well to make a long story short, I sat by the long haired man of my dreams. Five months later Johnny asked me to marry him, and we were happily married in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple on July 14, 2005. Johnny is a Major and Audiologist for the Air Force, and I am a mom and voice teacher. Our daughter Hazel joined our family May 2010, and our son Milo Jude joined us April 2014, and they control our universe!

From the mouth of Hazel

"Love you mommy. You da best!"

Hazel scowled at me, then pointed to the kitchen and said, "Go make me a cake!"

Hazel: Hi mom, whatcha doin'? Me: Oh, just cleaning.

Hazel: Oh...sorry mom.

"Psst, psst, mommy, me hungry in my tummy." (while strangely whispering)

Hazel: "Feed me." Me: "Why? Are you a little baby?" Hazel: "No, it's me, Hazel Foster."

"Oh hi shadow. Whatcha doin' today?"

"Me too busy."

"It's no use...."

"Yo ho yo ho a Pirate's enemy."

"Hazel love it myself."

"Poo my favorite color." (shocked by what she accidentally just said, she corrected herself by saying), "Blue my favorite color. No laugh mommy."

While singing 'Popcorn Popping', Hazel suddenly stopped singing and said, "this makes my cough so bored."

"My belly says it's hungry."

"Oh poop, oh fooey, oh bother."

Hazel: "My belly hurts."

Me: "I'm sorry. Do you need to go potty?"

Hazel: "No. I just love my friends and family."

"The stars and moon toot and fart."

"Jesus is kind of like a pretty daddy. Kind of."

"My feelings are so tired, and a little sweaty."

(Hysterically laughing) "Mom, Whinnie the Pooh has poo in his name!" (Laughter continues).

"I'm freakin' out 'cause I love my house so bad!"

"America's as fun as I thought!"

"I love the snow more than sun."

"My panties are doin' me an itchy."

"When we sing together my heart moves and dances."

Hazel: "I teached him that."
Me: "You taught him that? You're a good teacher?"
Hazel: "You mean 'taughter'."

"What if a naughty boy in Kindergarten doesn't wear panties? What would they do?"

"I like coloring. It's exercise for our hands."

Hazel: "When I grow up, I don’t want to be a rock-star anymore, just when I’m a kid."

Me: “Why not?”

Hazel: "Because it’s just too cool."

"I don't have an English brain anymore. I have a Chinese one."
