Photographing pretty people

I'm very much into photography, but don't exactly do it professionally.  While in Utah I did a little photo-shoot of some of my family members.  They sure are good lookin' people, wouldn't you agree?

A brief visit to the Basin

Johnny finally finished his eight weeks of training in Alabama.  He's home, and Hazel won't let him leave her sight.  About 10 minutes after his arrival, we hopped in the car and drove to Duchesne for a little visit with some of his family.  We loved staying at Albert and Alisha's house and playing Redneck Life.  What a hoot.  The following day we enjoyed seeing Albert's newest purchase (an airplane), and peeking into the life of a firefighter.

Finally we enjoyed a delicious meal (thanks papa Fos), and adorable & delicious cupcakes (thanks Alisha for making my birthday extra special).

We love you all, and wish we could've spent more time together.

Babysitting

My mom and I have been happy to team up and babysit my sister's two little girls this week while she's vacationing.  It's been a house full of excitement, gosh-darn cuteness, fights every two minutes, and lots of sickness.  Hazel can't seem to get her health fully restored since we've been here in Utah, but at least it doesn't always faze her.

The Big Green Egg

My dad got this cool cooking device for Christmas that turns your food into perfection.  Our pizza night is definitely something I'll never forget.  I think my mediterranean creation was probably the favorite (feta cheese is the secret).

Over the weekend

Finally all my sisters under the same roof, thanks to Rachelle for making the long trek from Montana.  I love having a house full of family.  Also glad that Ayla had a birthday so that I could eat the tastiest chocolate cake ever, (I need your recipe Alaine).

I still have lots more loved ones to see, so I'm sure glad It's not a super quick trip this time.

We survived

24 hours of traveling with a toddler is probably my least favorite activity, but we made it back to the states safe and sound.  Major jet lag, and now a sick Hazel, but we're really enjoying being with family, and can't hardly wait to see the rest of our family and friends.

And hello beautiful snowy mountains!
