Botanical Garden Delight

On Saturday Johnny and I went to the Botanical Gardens. We were feeling a little out of place though, because apparently it was "Winter Doggy Days" at the gardens, and so we were surrounded by quite a few of dogs.  Other than too many dogs, and a lot of dead plants, we had lots of fun!

Tim Tam Slam

So in case you don't know, Johnny served his mission in Australia, and while there he was introduced to the famous Tim Tam Slams.  Basically what it is, is when you take a Tim Tam (chocolate cookie usually with caramel in the center...yum), and bite off both ends, then proceed by putting one end in your mouth whilst the other goes into the Milo (like Hot Chocolate...also yum), then you begin sucking.  The trick is that the Tim Tam melts instantly and so you have to slurp with all of your slurping power to get the cookie before it falls into your mug.  So basically long story shortened...we had the missionaries over for dinner on Friday, and before serving in San Antonio, they were in Australia and Tahiti where they also partook of the Tim Tam delight. Boy were they excited when Johnny announced that for dessert we would be having a Tim Tam Slam!  It was a lot of fun, and very delicious.  Oh yeah, and just so you know...Pepperidge Farms is now making Tim Tams.  That's how this whole thing began.  So if you come across them, and get some Milo, or Hot Chocolate, sit yourself down and have a Tim Tam Slam!!

Is it just me or is it kind of boring once the holidays are over?  I have absolutely nothing cool to say, or nothing neat to post.  Sorry folks.

I cry the day I take the tree down!

I always hate it when it's time to take the Christmas tree down, and pack up all the holiday decor, but today was the unfortunate day...
