My project

So, I'm into eating healthy and stuff.  I always have been, and seem to get more and more so as the years go on.  Now I have a wonderful daughter who is rather sensitive to a variety of things, the main one being wheat.  So my new project this year has been to compile all my favorite, healthy, and toddler/husband approved gluten-free recipes that I've adapted.  I always use organic products if possible, and no refined sugar or funky additives.   If you are on a hunt for healthy, tasty, and/or gluten-free recipes, come take a peek.  Feel free to try the recipes out, and leave me comments on your success stories,
('cause I know they'll all be successes).  ;)

Here are some of my latest:

Remember that white stuff that was on the ground?

Well, it's all gone now.  We had a big rainfall, and so we woke up to no more snow.  Hazel was pretty sad that her Frosty had melted, but she was excited to play on the beautiful green grass, and get some serious yard work done.

It's hard to believe that just one week ago, our yard
(or garden as they would say in England) looked like this.

And here's a hilarious video of Hazel eating her butternut squash soup yesterday.  I think she liked it.

Reunited and it feels so good

Hazel is so-oo happy that her BF Myla has returned back to England.  She's been visiting family for too many months now.  What a cute site to see these girlies play again.

And here's a beautiful improvised modern dance that they whipped up.

Snow, Snow, Snow

We had a big beautiful snowfall last night, and so we woke up this morning to snowy bliss.  Hazel and I got bundled up immediately, and went out to enjoy it.  Hazel was in complete snowy heaven!  She especially loved building her first Frosty, and sweeping the snow away.

I think it's time for some hot chocolate.

Snowy England

It's official, England is beautiful all-year-round.  Hazel and I have really loved witnessing our first England snowfall, and today we enjoyed a little drive to take it all in.

And this pic just goes to show how excited Hazel Minnie Mouse is about the snow.

a little of this, a little of that...

Lately, life has been simple, a little uneventful, full of some sickness, slow-paced, but good.  Highlights were having the missionaries over for a tim-tam-slam, going to the recording studio again, and our first snowfall.

And now....here's a clip of Hardcore Hazel.  Enjoy!

Thank you

Thanks to all who have given us Christmas cards.  I think I'll still leave them up for a bit because they make us smile.  Hazel has really enjoyed the Christmas cards (especially the ones with Santa and/or Frosty on them), and enjoys rearranging them daily.

Thanks again for making us feel loved all they way over here in England.

Lately

Grandma Foster so kindly made Hazel this adorable cardigan (thanks again!), and I can't handle the cuteness of it.  Hazel feels like a complete superstar when she wears it too which adds to the cuteness.

Other events of the week include:

1.  Seeing a truck mini cooper.  Wow!
2. Entered a Waitrose grocery store.  Loved the incredible finds, but hated what it did to my bank account...
3. Hazel decided she likes to eat salad!  We're talking greens, cucumber, avocado drizzled with olive oil, and vinegar.  Happy momma over here!
4.  A visit to Cambridge, where we ate at our favorite restaurant Jamie's Italian.  It was delicious and fun like every time.

And here's a little clip of Hazel's best dance move and eye rolls.  She often rolls her eyes at me and says, "oh mommy."  Just like this...
