5 months old!

- My mommy and daddy can't believe that I'm already 5 months old, but that I'm as big (or bigger) than all the kids that are months older than me.

-I wear 9-12 month clothes.

- I still like to eat a lot, 'cause my mommy's milk tastes so darn good.

- I've decided to start taking naps in my crib. I guess I'm okay with it, because my mom sure seems happy about it. I just still can't decide if I like to sleep longer than a half hour at a time.

- All of the sudden I really like the carseat. I get so bored sitting at my house, and so when I get in the carseat I know that I'm going on an exciting adventure.

- I like to blow raspberries with my lips.

-I sat up on my own the other day for about 30 seconds.

-I can scoot around on the floor, and like to surprise my mommy how far I can get when she turns away.

-My hair still hasn't grown any.

-I've been told that I'm still super cute.

Halloween Highlights

Okay, so this year I slacked BIG time with Halloween. Johnny and I didn't even throw our annual Halloween party, and I only made one little treat. Not only that, we usually go all out with our costumes, but not so much this year. Our friend's from the single's branch threw a small little get-together Friday night. We were not supposed to dress up in just any costume, but as a desire that has been suppressed. As you can see below, the only desire that is suppressed for me that I could think of, was that I want sleep! And Johnny got himself a cute snuggy, and potato chips because, well, he wants to be a couch potato, wear a snuggy, and watch football. There ya have it, our incredible costumes!

Some other guests at the party

And then of course you can never put a close to the Halloween season without a jaunt to Sea World. I think Hazel liked her first Halloween.

This morning...

My sweet little Hazel isn't so sweet when it comes to sleeping. She is usually a cat-napper in the day, and she likes to wake up every 1-3 hours in the night. It gets pretty exhausting. Anyhow, I found that swaddling and white noise is the only thing that gives me a few treasured hours of sleep. I usually feel pretty grumpy in the night, but when I walk in her room and find her like this, it pretty much turns my frown upside down.

(keep in mind that I left her tightly swaddled; arms pinned down to the max!)

Busted!

Oh and yesterday Johnny gave Hazel a quick lesson on hearing protection.

Fun in the Sun

Let me just tell you how happy I am now that Hazel and I can go outside and face the Texas weather. It has been perfect, (now only if it were prettier...no offense to you proud Texans).

The Cove

Johnny's bro and wife came to visit, and we had a fantastic time. We had to show them our favorite hole in the wall restaurant, and I believe it was a success. Thanks for visiting Albert and Alisha. Now who's next??

Summer Highlights

Hazel finally got to meet her great-grandma Lafferty. Grandma just kept saying what a cute little boy Hazel was. Gotta love the elderly.

The Atwood kids holding the little chunk, and taking care of business.

Pretty thrilled with her new toy, Mr. Bumbo. (Those things are great by the way). Too bad her thighs are already getting stuck.

.

Hazel loved getting spoiled by her cute cousins.

Hazel and Violet will realize one day that they are best friends.

Love my little bean

Hazel enjoying the Alamo and Sea World for the first time.

Cheers to fall, Halloween, and nice weather in Texas!
