Big Girl

10 months old

Hey everyone! I'm super excited to tell you what I've learned since I was 9 months old!

- When I wake up every morning, I stand up, throw my binkies out, and yell for my mom because I always get so excited to start a new day.

- I often get to watch Sesame Street in the morning which is truly the best. Elmo just might be my best friend, and my mom can't figure out why I'd like such a creature.

- I'm crawling around like crazy, and can even walk around while holding onto the furniture. I can even stand on my very own for a few seconds.

- I'm constantly jutting my jaw, raising my eyebrows and shaking 'cause everyone always laughs when I do it.

- I also go back and forth between serious face, and smiling face to be silly.

- I like to go upside down like downward dog.

- My favorite toys are still things that, I guess, aren't real toys. Cardboard just tastes so good.

- I love to scan the kitchen floor for crumbs. If I'm really quick I get to eat what I find.

- I clap and shake my legs whenever I hear a song. I love music!

- I can dance too.

- I'm a pretty happy girl most of the time, as long as I get plenty of food and entertainment.

Have you heard about Smash burger?!

I'm sure most of you know that I'm kind of a "health-conscious" kind of gal. Never been big on fast food restaurants until I bumped into this place. Oh boy, I'm drooling over the keyboard as I reminisce. Lets just say, if you've never been there before you better get there real soon.

My mom and I were extra hungry, explaining the feast before us.

Grandma Lanna

My mom's here visiting to help me keep my sanity while Johnny's away. I love my mom so much, and so does this little munchkin.

Birds

Hazel and I love to watch the birds outside. I was especially excited because the pretty birds decided to hang out in our yard. Beautiful red and orange birds, and also a big blue bird that was singing a pretty tune.

Every time I snuck outside to try to get a real good up-close photo of the extra pretty ones, they'd fly away. Don't worry I tried to sneak out at least 10 times. I finally gave up, and captured what I could.

I also love it when the squirrels try to be bird-food-thieves.

The big 26!

It's the Friday before my birthday, and Johnny and I are suppose to celebrate because he's heading out of town the day before my big day. It's 6:00 p.m. and still no Johnny. Hazel and I start having a pity party because we're bored, and sad that Johnny's soon to depart. Then in walks my sister Marianne and her baby Violet!! I truly couldn't breath, and I thought for a moment that I was hallucinating. So, sneaky little Johnny flew my sister out to be with me while he was away. Isn't he the sweetest!

Violet and Hazel weren't quite sure what was going on.

Then once again sneaky Johnny then told Marianne and me that he was going to stay an extra day so that he could watch the girls, 'cause he was sending us to WICKED!!!! We loved every second of the outing.

Here are the little cuties. They soon realized that they were best friends.

Hazel loved having a buddy at Target other than me.

We really didn't do much, because we were having too much fun watching the girls play together. They were so stinkin' cute we couldn't handle it.

One day we ventured to the Shops at La Cantera. Spent a little birthday cash, and ate some Orange Cup. (note: Red Mango is better).

I'd like to thank our tax return for allowing Johnny to give me such an incredible birthday celebration, Marianne and Violet for enduring a plane flight to be with me, and all of the birthday wishes/cards/and gifts from friends and family. I love you all!

p.s. Hazel LOVED having Violet here and would just chase her around all day. I think Violet maybe had a differing opinion.

A much bigger post is coming, but in the mean time here is a teaser of my birthday present. Johnny flew out my sister Marianne and her beautiful little Violet. There are also many more very exciting details that I'll share later, but for now just take a look at these cuties.

I'm so glad when daddy comes home

Hazel is not only excited herself when Johnny comes home from work each day, but she learns what an exciting event it is from me. I always start cheering, and having a mini celebration each day when we hear the door open.
