THE ORDERS ARE IN!

It's official. Johnny got his orders and we're moving to...

(The actual city is Lakenheath, which is about an hour away from London).

We've known that this was a possibility for quite some time now, but were just anxiously awaiting his orders to make it official.

Maybe we'll live here:

or here:

We'll attend this:

And possibly be best friends with them:

I've never even traveled out of the country, and so to move to a foreign land makes me nervous, anxious, yet very excited. The hardest part, of course, will just be being so far from family.

We'll be there for three years, so you, that's right, YOU better come and visit, or we might not be friends anymore!

Cheerio...!

11 months old

I can't believe that I'm going to have my first birthday in just 1 more month. Wow! This last month has been especially fun for me, and I can't wait to tell you about it.

- I love when I have visitors. I don't think I'm quite as shy as I used to be.

- I went to Sea World with my cousins and loved it. I was happy for 5 hours straight.

- I would rather be down and exploring, than being held. There's just so many neat things I want to get my hands on.

- I'm not a picky eater unless the texture is funny. I am still learning how to chew bigger pieces. Ooh, but I tried raspberries the other day, and boy were they yummy!

- I absolutely refuse to take more than one nap. I get pretty tired by bedtime though, but it doesn't matter how hard my mommy tries to get me asleep, I WON'T do it. Sorry mommy.

- I have a mad face. It looks like this...

- I mostly use my happy face.

- Target's starting to get pretty boring to me, but sometime's I see Elmo there, and I start to scream because I can't believe my eyes.
(I hear that there aren't any Target's in England, and so I don't know what my mommy's gonna do once we live there. Hee hee.)

- I'm the only child at church since my daddy's in the Single's Branch Presidency. I like all of the attention it gives me. I make sure to sing and talk my very loudest when I'm there.

- I can crawl up the stairs, but I don't know how to get back down yet.

- I really like my daddy. If he doesn't pick me up as soon as he walks in the front door, I cry really hard.

- I'm growing bigger, but my cry is still really tiny. My fake cry is a little bit louder though, and so I try to use that one as much as possible.

- Well that's about it for this month. I can't wait for my birthday. I think I might be walking by then.

xoxo ~ Hazel

p.s. I saw a kitty cat today.

An Easter surprise

Johnny and I were like giddy little children when we looked out our window today and saw the Easter bunny. In our three years of living in San Antonio, we've never seen such a sight.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend!

A true artist

My amazingly talented 10-year-old niece, Ayla, has been making miniature clay formations for the past few years. She always makes the family members incredible figurines for special occasions. This last week while she was visiting, she brought Johnny and I these beauties. I'm in awe with each new creation.

(These pictures don't even show how teeny-tiny they are)

Amazing, right?!

A great week!!

I've been so lucky with visitors lately. This last week my sister and her two beautiful girls came for a Texas adventure!

We made sure to hit the main tourist attractions, and caught a glimpse of ourselves at the mirror maze.

We went to the Japanese Tea Garden.

Hazel couldn't get enough of her visitors.

We fed the ducks.

Enjoyed the nice weather.

Had popcorn and movie nights.

Played lots of games.

Enjoyed some good Mexican food at Henry's Puffy Taco.

Went to the zoo.

We all got some fancy fiesta shirts and went to a surprise destination. You can't ever be too old for Chuck E Cheese's. Am I right?!

Then we of course had to visit Sea World.

Other than Hazel and I getting rottenly sick, it was the best week ever.

And thanks to my amazing mom, for spending so much time with us. Wish you didn't ever have to go...

Love you all so so much!!!

If I keep trying, maybe somethin' will come out of it.

Johnny's always on Hazel duty while I'm teaching. This is the activity that took place while I was away, and I thought that the pics were too great to pass on by.

Look at that innocent face.
