Brussels, Belgium

We decided to split up our driving on our way back to England, and spend a night in Brussels.  We arrived just in time to go to bed, and so we had some quality bed jumping time before drifting away.  The next morning we enjoyed a buffet breakfast at the hotel followed by a short stroll through the city.  It was really cold, and really windy, and so we weren't too disappointed with our brief stay.

Brussels is pretty neat.  You should go there one day.

P.S.  Thank you dear Atwood family for being such good hosts.  We loved every minute of our Germany adventures.  Now it's your turn to come back to England.

Aachen

Our final German market was in Auchan.  It was by far the biggest one that I've been to.  The good news is that there was so much to see and so much to eat; the bad news was that there were far too many people, and so I began feeling claustrophobic.  It didn't help that Hazel was a little grouchy.

But on the bright side, I yet again won the "piggiest" award for eating the most.  And it was all amazing!

Our adventures are still not over... :)

Heidelberg

It was my first time going to the Heidelberg Christmas Market, and I loved every minute of it.  I definitely get the "piggiest" award for eating the most.  I just couldn't help myself when every booth had something incredibly delicious.  The Kinderpunsch was especially tasty, and oh so festive.

More festivities coming...
