We got a babysitter, faced the extremely chilly and windy weather, and went to a couple castles today. Despite the cold, it was a fantastic day.
The first beautiful castle we visited was Orford Castle. It was built between 1165 and 1173 by
Henry II of England to consolidate royal power in the region.
Now off to Framingham Castle.
An early Norman castle was built on the Framlingham site by 1148, but was destroyed by Henry II of England in the aftermath of the revolt of 1174. By the end of the 13th century, Framlingham had become a luxurious home, surrounded by extensive parkland used for hunting.
A highlight for me was watching a mini battle of mini fighters on the grounds. So funny and cute.

Another fun day! All of you are sure pretty girls. Maybe some of your ancestors worked in those castles.
