growing up

- I know how to fake cry.
- I hate taking naps, and I try my very hardest to stay awake as long as I can.
-My car seat is starting to bug me, because I don't like being pinned down.
- I'm so glad when my daddy comes home.
- I still like to eat a couple times each night; I just get growth spurts every night I guess...
- I can make stinky toots just like a grown-up.
-I love to play with light switches, and demand that I turn off the light after leaving my room.
-People tell me that I look like a Gerber baby.
-My favorite toys are not toys.
- I can sing higher than my mommy, but she keeps trying.
-I'm getting quite the attitude these days, but I kind of like the attention it gives me.

And that's about it for this month! :)

Christmas recap

We were sad to not be able to see our family and friends this Christmas, but we ended up having a really great time. It was awesome having Johnny home, and having our little Hazel to entertain us. Here's what made our Christmas weekend magical...

Watched movies and played lots of phase ten

Went on walks

Went to Red Mango

Tried to jump over Hazel

Went and looked at lights, and searched for the ugliest decorated house.

The Nightmare Before Christmas themed house was pretty cool.

Hazel loved how our Christmas treats made Johnny's breath smell so nice.

Of course we had to go to Sea World. It was a rather cold day for San Antonio, and so we got to get all bundled.

Hazel had no clue who this fella was. And the photographer just kept calling Hazel "buddy."

Hazel's first Christmas morning!

I love getting different instruments, and Johnny surprised me with this cute little ukulele.

Skype is one of my favorite inventions ever. We were able to see all of our family without hopping on an airplane, and being in the freezing Utah weather.

Hazel's so happy to have new toys to play with. I think her first Christmas was a success. Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

Hazel's getting excited for Santa to come.

(And I hope you enjoy Hazel's expressions in these pictures as much as I do).

Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland (except without the winter part)

An advantage of staying here in Texas for the holidays is we still have nice weather. Disadvantage, it does not look nor feel like Christmas. My neighbor has cotton and white spray paint on their bushes.

But Hazel got to try out her stroller "big-girl style" today. She had a blast!

I'll have a blue Christmas...

If Hazel doesn't get over this cold!

The poor little munchkin got my bug from last week.
If only she knew how to blow her nose...

A little bed bug

"I'm so excited to sleep in your bed tonight, mom and dad!"

"What...no sleepover party?!"

"Okay, I guess I'll go sleep in my crib, in that cold dark room, all by myself, with no one to talk to..."

(Maybe this is why Hazel woke up 5 times last night!)

A grand reunion!

Here on the left is my long lost high school pal Cole. He then married beautiful Meghan, and moved to San Antonio. I tracked them down and had them over last night. It was a great time!

Hazel's half birthday!

- Well it's true, I've made it to 6 months old, and I'm still the star of the show.

-I'm also having tons of fun feeling my 2 teeth, and it makes me laugh when I bite my mom when I'm eating and she yells, "OW!" Hee hee.

- I'm starting to dislike anyone but my mom and dad, unless they prove to me that they are super nice.

- I'm finally taking naps that are sometimes longer than 45 minutes, but I still have a hard time staying asleep in the night. I just get so hungry I guess...wink wink.

- I can sit up like a big girl, and I don't even wobble.

- I haven't figured out what this "so-called" crawling is all about, but I'm sure I'll figure it out very soon.

- I'm a pretty good sport when it comes to taking pictures. I learned really quick what that little flashy thing was.

- I still haven't gotten to try any big kid food yet, 'cause I hear that I'm still doing pretty well on my mommy's milk.

- I can be a stinker at times, but I just can't help it. I know that it will get me whatever I want.

XOXO ~ Hazel
