Germany, day one.

Our beloved friends, The Atwoods, moved from San Antonio to Germany nearly the same time we moved to England.  We, along with our other friends The Koffords, drove to Germany to spend our Thanksgiving weekend, and boy was it a blast!

We drove 2 hours to the Chunnel where you simply drive your car onto a train, sit there while it drives under water (creepy), and then a half hour later, voila you're in France.  So cool.  From there we drove through France, and then Belgium, and then Germany.  Four hours later we arrived at their house.

We got a babysitter for all eight kiddos that night, and went to Zur Breit, a.k.a the Truck Stop to enjoy a German feast.  I ordered reindeer because it seemed so festive, and it was pretty tasty stuff.
(Thanks Rachel for the recommendation).

Many more pictures to come...

Reindeer? Sounds good to me. What did Johnny have? Looks like a pork schnitzel. Thanks for posting!

I'll skip the beets and go for whatever Johnny was having. Love seeing your updates- super jealous you were in Paris! Ryan graduates in May and then who knows...maybe we'll move over the ocean...

Looks like fun! Can't wait to talk to you in the morning and hear all about it. I'm all about eating wild game, but reindeer seems a bit cruel doesn't it? How do you know Santa's going to make it this year? :)
