We love old cemeteries, and so our first brief stop was to a very unique looking cemetery. There were no upright headstones, but only moss covered horizontal ones. We were hoping to find a long-lost ancestor there, but no such luck...
Our next stop has been on my bucket list ever since I saw a picture online of it. It's called the Dark Hedges, and it's made up of two rows of beech trees, planted two centuries ago by the Stuart family as a way to impress visitors as they approached their Georgian mansion.
Apparently a mysterious ghost, of a maid, from the nearby house has been spotted gliding along the roadside. Eery...
But such an awesome sight! And my pics (in broad daylight) don't even do it justice. Google it.
Our next stop was to Dunluce Castle. This medieval castle is in such a stunning location, sitting right on a cliff edge of the North Antrim coast. Amazing. There are a handful of ghost stories with this one too!
We are nowhere near done yet. :)
