Day Three; Part Two (Ireland)


Next up, Giant's Causeway!  Around 50 to 60 million years ago, the county of Antrim was subject to intense volcanic activity.  The lava cooled into (mostly) hexagonal columns, and the tops of these columns form stepping stones that lead from the cliff foot and disappear under the sea.  It's named the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom, and I now know why!  Such an incredible place.
