I still can't believe that we're in England, and not just visiting; we're here to stay! It's been a whirlwind so far, but I thought I'd share a little bit about our journey thus far.
We barely made our connecting flight due to a delay, and that had us freaked, but it all worked out.
Since we are military and moving here, we could take as many bags as needed, and that's just what we did (and each weighing about 60 lbs.).

Hazel thought the airport was really exciting, especially with her new walking skills. She loved giving her scrunched smile to many strangers.
The flight was smooth but tiring. I didn't sleep a wink, and Hazel didn't want to sleep in her car seat, and so I held her for a few hours while she slept. I had perma-numb-bum.
We were greeted at the airport by Johnny's fellow co-worker who then drove us to Lakenheath (about 2 hours). I was in awe with my surroundings, but even more so by the driving. Having the driver in the passenger side, and driving on the left side was really weirding me out. This is going to be a major adjustment!
So during this drive I saw zero gas stations, zero restaurants, and zero stores. Weirded out again. Lets just say I'm starving, and don't quite know how to feed us yet without a car or any conveniences. Close to the base I tried to take some pics of what I was seeing, but being in the back seat of a mini-van it was a little tricky.
The house below is similar to what we'll probably be living in if we choose to live on base.
Well we're here, and there's so much to see, but no car or energy to do so. At least we heard that our car has made it and Johnny passed the driving test with flying colors, and so we should be able to nervously venture out soon!
p.s. If anyone wants to skype with me, I'll be signed in as soon as you wake up in the morning. :)

Glad you made it safely!
I'm still learning how to skype, so sorry if I called you a million times. :) BUT YAY FOR BEING IN ENGLAND! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE FUN THINGS YOU DO!!!
Yay!! It's going to be crazy learning how to drive on the other side of the road! I love the houses on base, they are pretty new too if I remember right. Are you guys thinking of living off? That would be brave! It's gotta be nice having everything there on base, since lakenheath is practically in the middle of nowhere! The little town it's by looks cute though! (I researched the crap out of lakenheath when we first joined, in hopes that we would be assigned there)
How exciting, Becky! I'm a little jealous, so I hope you don't mind my living vicariously through you via your blog :) Enjoy England!
You made it! I can't wait to read/see more :) I hope you love it!
